Bio:
Andrew Goldberg is a DJ and progressive/electro house, hip hop, pop, and R&B music producer from Southern California. Born in Portland Oregon, Andrew discovered electronic music upon moving to San Diego, where he found a hobby in composing and producing music. Since he began producing two years ago it has become his passion and career. He is currently producing a plethora of original tracks for an upcoming EP and preparing for a nationwide college tour.
In 2010 he began working with a San Diego based DJ named AL Sharif. Having met him through Andrew’s childhood best friend, AL Sharif’s brother, they found a common interest in house and electronic music before it was widely listened to in America, and combined their individual skills in production and DJing to become the powerhouse known as “Andrew Goldberg & AL Sharif.” Together their music has received international radio airplay and widespread online coverage.
AL Sharif was born in the Bay Area, and was raised in both San Diego and the Middle East. He’s half American and half Middle Eastern, and has spent time living in the US and the Middle East. By having these experiences, learning from both, his music is expansive. He only puts out music that will intrigue and excite the listener. By drawing his inspiration from Eastern and Western Cultures, past and current events, he roots his sounds in a classic vibe, that transforms into progressive modern beats that are limitless.
By uniting a multitude of sounds that drive you to dance, AL Sharif’s music is an experience. He generates music that pays homage to some of the best music of the past, while at the same time feels fresh and unique. He draws inspiration from various genres of music, and creates new sound from it. Whether it be less popular underground beats that no one has ever heard of AL Sharif electrifies the sounds of the past and present.
