2012 Doomsday

in the last few years, many people have been claiming that on December 21, 2012 the world will come to an end.  One of the most popular theories is that an ancient calender created by the Mayans predicts a catastrophic event on this day and their calender hasn't been proved wrong before.  Another theory is that strange activity will take place in our solar system where the magnetic poles will be reversed causing destructive earthquakes as well as major climate changes.  A few even believe the events described match up with a few biblical prophecies.  But just like it has been done many times before, people predicted all types of cataclysmic events that never came to be.  So what do you guys think, is the world going to end in 2012?

This is all complete shit. Polar shifting is a ridiculous notion in and of itself. Another fallacy created by people who hate not knowing what lies ahead. If i looked at the last date posted on my Blackberry Calender is that the end of the world? And no SPECIFIC predictions have EVER come true.

Yea I don't know why people say that it will be the end of the world... The Mayans predicted that Earth will have a dramatic change, that doesn't mean the end of the world, well not for all of us :P But anyways, I'm more of a wait and see person :D

Some speculation has been going around that NASA has been tracking something called Planet X/Nibiru. Many say it's heading towards our solar system which will produce mass destruction to our planet around December 21st 2012.

No one knows for sure but im gonna atleast have some sort of plan devised and store food and water along with some essential items like a fire source and weapons to protect myself or hunt if need be. Personally i do believe something might happen, shit look at the dinosaurs, they had there catastrophic end, but I think humanity has the choice to evolve or parish this time

We are over due for a MAGNETIC polar shift, during that time (it may take a few hours or a few days for that shift) our planets magnetic field will be weaker then normal, that leaves us vulnerable to emp's & more radiation then normal.. 2012 will be another y2k..

I can go both ways with this.. Yes and No.. Yes because many scientist looked into this and believe it. No because NO one can predict the date that this will accrue, its just simply impossible. It could happen on December 20, not 21, or it could happen on 2060 December, 21. No one knows for sure. :)
