LivingElectro is Global!

Monday, 6th September

We are all proud to say that LivingElectro receives unique visits from all over the world every single day.  Due to this, our staff has been getting ideas from our multilingual community to add sections to our website that are only dedicated to one language.

Now this could be as little as adding a new chatbox, or as large as making a separate forum for that language.  By doing this, it will be easier for users from other countries to be involved with our forum, and stay up to to date with the latest news.

As for the languages, we want to hear your opinions on this.  If we were to consider adding another language(s), what should they be?  Whether its French, Spanish, or any other language you believe should be considered, please leave your feedback in the comments section below.

You might even feel strongly against this idea, so don't be shy.  Tell us why you think we should or shouldn't consider doing this.  It helps us immensely to hear your honest opinions.

Well, I had this discussion with someone on the forum about a month ago. Basically, for me, the idea of separate shoutboxes for different languages seems like a bad idea. I think our main goal is to build the LE community and I believe this may take away from this goal. Now, to talk about translation for the actual website, I think is a good idea and I think it would be greatly appreciated by our members. Something like how FB has where you can choose the language to be displayed on the page would be nice. I've seen many languages spoken on the shoutbox and I don't think it's fair to really choose one or two. I'd like to see them all to be honest but I know that is a lot of work and maybe in the future we can get to that point but I think maybe Spanish, Portuguese and French would be a good start.

agree with zimpl as 4 the chatbox. If u add a few options to choose witch language u speak ( i vote for spanish, french, and german) then u will automatically be sendt to the chatbox with ur language...as well for the forum etc.....oh, and to spice things up. The language options could be the a flag u click like the german flag...^^

I'd vote for different chatboxes for different languages! Though I don't have any problems with english, german/spanish would be cool.

Caledonia
Well French is pretty common in LE, but the thing is that most french people, can get away with speaking English :) So I'm thinking Spanish or German :)
