DDM is an American electronic dance music project created at the end of 2011 in San Diego, CA. The front man is the DJ, Dennis Dai a.k.a DDM (Dennis Dai Music).
DDM was formed when Dennis took an interest to electronic music after being inspired by works of headliner DJs such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Avicii, Dash Berlin, Swedish House Mafia, Kaskade, etc. Under the stagename, DDM, he began mixing and performing at local bars/clubs in San Diego. He currently has a weekly radio show and a bi-weekly podcast titled “Classified,” that can be found at www.soundcloud.com/dennisdaimusic and is free for download. The radio show is broadcasted from the KSDT radio station located on the UCSD campus. Each episode consists of an hour long Electro/House edition as well as a Progressive/Trance edition. The radio show is every Friday from 6pm-8pm and can be heard from the KSDT website: http://ksdt.ucsd.edu/
Aside from the podcast, radio show, and live performances, DDM is currently the manager for Smashing Beats SD. Smashing Beats is a start-up organization, created by university students, with the sole purpose of gathering talented and local San Diego EDM DJs, from Trance, Dubstep, Electro, House, and Techno. Their mission is to provide new DJs with opportunities to present their work to communities in the San Diego County and in radio stations – online and local FM.
DDM’s next project will be making electronic music productions in the genres of Electro, House, Progressive, and Trance. Stay tuned for new releases.
